    Where is AW Chambers located?
    The chambers is at 31/1 Old Kottawa Road, Mirihana, Nugegoda 10250, in the Colombo District of the Western Province. It is a single office; the practice does not maintain branches elsewhere.
    Does AW Chambers appear in courts outside Colombo?
    Yes. The chambers is based in Colombo and appears before courts and tribunals island-wide, including the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court, District Courts and Magistrate's Courts, as well as before arbitral tribunals.
    Can a law firm outside Sri Lanka instruct AW Chambers?
    Yes. The chambers accepts instructions from foreign law firms, in-house teams, insurers and P&I correspondents, and regularly provides Sri Lankan law support to solicitors in the United Kingdom and Australia. Instructions can be sent by email to legal@awchambers.com.
    What languages does the chambers work in?
    English, Sinhala and Tamil.
    What are the chambers' opening hours?
    Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 Sri Lanka Standard Time (UTC +5:30). Saturdays and after-hours attendance are available by prior arrangement, and urgent matters are dealt with outside those hours where the matter requires it.
    What should a first enquiry include?
    The broad nature of the issue or dispute, any urgent date, filing deadline or hearing already fixed, whether the matter is personal, corporate or an instructing-firm referral, and the best way and time to reply. That is usually enough for a practical first response.
