• Advised and appeared in matters arising from notices and diffusions issued through INTERPOL, including the basis on which a Red Notice was issued and its continued maintenance.
• Acted in extradition proceedings in Sri Lanka, both resisting surrender to a requesting state and in proceedings for the return of persons from abroad.
• Represented persons arrested in Sri Lanka at the instance of foreign law enforcement, including on provisional arrest pending a formal request.
• Instructed by and working alongside counsel of foreign Bars, including as part of joint teams on a single matter.

• Five years as State Counsel in the Attorney-General's Department, prosecuting in courts across every judicial zone of the island other than the North and the East.
• Appeared in a reported fundamental rights application that settled the distinction between mere suspicion and the reasonable suspicion the Code of Criminal Procedure requires to justify an arrest.
• Presently appears for a national regulatory commission, and has appeared in the appellate courts for statutory authorities.
• Appointed by the Chief Justice to the Disciplinary Committee constituted under section 43(1) of the Judicature Act.

• Appeared in the prosecution arising from Sri Lanka's largest marine environmental disaster, for an officer of the local shipping agent.
• Admiralty and enforcement work across the ports of Colombo, Galle, Trincomalee and Hambantota.

• Obtained permission on conditions for temporary foreign travel for medical treatment, for a petitioner subject to restrictions imposed in a narcotics investigation.
• Bail applications in the Court of Appeal, including under the Poisons, Opium and Dangerous Drugs Ordinance.

• Appeared in the first prosecution for money laundering in Sri Lanka to result in an acquittal.
• Defended in a corruption prosecution arising from a national security and procurement investigation, acting for a senior official of a government ministry.
• Secured the dismissal of a revision application brought by the Director General of the anti-corruption commission, on preliminary objections that a second revision on the same subject matter cannot be maintained and that relief is not available to those who sleep over their rights.
• Acts as Senior Counsel in substantial live corruption prosecutions before the Chief Magistrate of Colombo.

• Retained over three decades by listed and private companies across retail, banking, insurance, manufacturing, motor and hospitality sectors in criminal, civil and labour matters.
• Appeared in contempt proceedings in the commercial jurisdiction on multi-currency claims, on the question whether a mortgage amounts to an alienation of property.
• Chairs the board of a company listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange as an independent non-executive director, and has held a comparable appointment at a second listed company.

• Convictions for murder and sentences of death set aside on appeal, with convictions on lesser counts substituted and sentences reduced.
• All three appellants acquitted in a homicide appeal, convictions for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and attempted homicide set aside.
• A conviction and a fifteen-year sentence set aside, a lesser conviction substituted and the sentence reduced to four years.
• Appeared in matters tried at bar before a bench of three High Court judges — among the very few such trials conducted in Sri Lanka — in which every accused represented was acquitted and discharged.
• An application to admit an audit report as fresh evidence allowed in an appeal concerning criminal breach of trust in foreign currency.

• Acted for the employer in Court of Appeal proceedings to enforce a settlement under the Industrial Disputes Act with an order value exceeding Rs. 134 million; preliminary objections upheld and the petition of appeal dismissed in limine.
• Contested labour inquiries and industrial disputes for leading Sri Lankan companies across manufacturing, retail, banking and hospitality.
• Labour Tribunal practice alongside the appellate work, including appeals from tribunal orders.

• Appeared in revenue and customs-related litigation, including confiscation proceedings and appeals from them.
• Appeared for the State in an appeal from conviction under the Excise Ordinance during service at the Attorney-General's Department.
• Regulatory enforcement matters, including proceedings brought by statutory commissions and authorities.

• Acted in human rights, religious liberty and fundamental rights matters on the instructions of both local and international organisations.

• Appeared for a vehicle owner in a confiscation appeal under the Forest Ordinance; the confiscation orders of the High Court and Magistrate's Court were vacated and the vehicle returned.
